Ony here these things happen... better to laugh... :)
Like I told some of you I spent one of these Sunday's doing a volunteer work, helping Droog to build a really nice project, conceived by the Austrian designer Sagmeister...
The idea was as part of the Experimenta Design Exhibitons (one more portuguese concept exported) to build with 250.000 coins of one cent, a huge drawing on a street area... Urbanplay
If you look into it from the top roof you would be able to read the sentence "Obsessions make my life worse and my work better"

So it took more than one week of hardwork to put the pieces of the puzzle togheter...
And the final result can now only be seen on the website

Why only in the website? Just read this... Seems that it happened when we were cellebrating the achievement in a open bar party... Well. Open bar but only with gin tonic and campari... Which was good for my liver as I do not like gin or campari...

anyway. this is what happened...

"It seems that the Amsterdam police were called by a resident of one of the overlooking buildings early Sunday morning to report that someone was “stealing an artwork”. As the story goes, people were pocketing a few of the coins, which was also expected, but things got a bit out of hand when a resident saw this happening. So the police responded, and, in a rather bizarre instance of police efficiency, they proceeded to “secure” the artwork, by sweeping up the entire installation."

Yep... they cleaned everything... :) Amsterdam police... so efficient...after it they said that the organizers can have the coins back if they go to pick them at the police station..
